Elements and Performance Criteria
- Identify scope of landscape project works
- Identify the nature of the landscape project work and extent of responsibilities and check against landscape documentation
- Identify personnel and other resources required to undertake landscape works according to scope of project
- Develop a work program to ensure that project outcomes are reached within designated time lines
- Identify workplace health and safety hazards, assess risks and implement controls
- Identify environmental impact of proposed landscape project works
- Select and use personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Coordinate the supply of materials and equipment
- Calculate material quantities and equipment requirements to ensure an ongoing work program is maintained
- Order material and equipment, check for quantity and quality and store as required
- Convey and confirm any specific delivery instructions with suppliers to ensure materials are delivered according to work program
- Send any rejected material back to supplier and re-order
- Monitor project works
- Monitor work program and adjust to ensure the site is developed and that project outcomes are reached within designated timelines
- Identify, record and report variations to the work program, issues likely to cause delays, and contingencies beyond the scope of the project
- Monitor the work site to ensure it remains in a clean, tidy and safe condition throughout and on completion of works
